EN - 11 | Vibe Check: Love the Journey, Ditch the Result!

Sunrise, Fellow Ascenders! ЁЯОЦ️
I get it. You've been on the grind, pushing hard toward a
goal you've set for yourself. You're tracking your progress, you're stacking
your habits, and you're doing all the "right" things. But what
happens when the joy starts to fade? When the long road ahead feels more like a
burden than an adventure? You start to feel that subtle energy drain, the one
that whispers, "Is this even worth it?"
This is a critical moment on your journey, and it's time
for a vibe check.
We are taught to be so obsessed with the destination that
we miss the beauty of the path. We pin all our hopes and happiness on the
outcome—the promotion, the launch, the weight loss—and we forget that the real
magic is happening right now, in the daily grind. The truth is, if the goal was
never achieved, would the process still be worth it? This isn't a trick
question; it's a profound truth from the Bhagavad Gita: focus on the action
(karma), not the fruits of that action.
I once worked with a young artist who was completely
consumed by the idea of landing a gallery show. She was talented, but every
time she painted, she was thinking about the final result, the sale, the validation.
She lost her love for the process, the simple act of putting a brush to canvas.
She became a machine, producing work without passion. Her work lost its soul.
When we shifted her focus from the gallery show to the sheer joy of
creating—the texture of the paint, the flow of the colors, the feeling of a new
idea coming to life—something incredible happened. Her art became more
authentic, more vibrant, and ironically, she started getting more attention
than ever before. She learned that when you love the work, the reward becomes
inevitable.
This isn’t about being lazy or letting go of ambition.
It’s about building a sustainable engine for success. If your happiness is a
hostage to your results, you’ll be on an emotional rollercoaster. But if your
happiness is a function of the work itself, you're in the driver’s seat. This
is the difference between a goal-oriented mindset and a process-oriented
mindset. The goal-oriented person only feels good when they win. The
process-oriented person feels good every single day because they are engaged in
work they love. They find the joy in the journey.
The Gita teaches us about Karma Yoga, the path of
selfless action. The principle is simple: do your duty with skill and without
attachment to the results. This doesn’t mean you don't care about your goals;
it means your peace of mind is not dependent on them. Your motivation comes
from the purity of your effort and the love of the process.
Think about a marathon runner. The goal is to finish. But
if all they focused on was the finish line, they would burn out at mile 10.
They have to find joy in each stride, in the rhythm of their breathing, in the
quiet discipline of their training. They have to love the process.
This is your new focus. You’ve been working hard, but now
it's time to work with joy. We're going to reconnect with the love you had for
your dream at the very beginning. We're going to turn your daily grind into a
ritual you look forward to.
Your Action Plan: Your Companion for Success
Your challenge this week is to find joy in the process.
- 1.
Identify the Joy: Think about your goal.
What is one part of the journey you genuinely enjoy? Is it the planning,
the journaling, the creation, the conversation with others?
- 2. Do
More of It: This week, make a conscious effort to do more of
that one enjoyable activity. For example, if you love journaling, spend an
extra 10 minutes writing every day. If you love the research part of your
business, dedicate an hour to just that.
- 3.
Reflect with Intention: At the end of the week,
reflect on how this shift in focus made you feel. Did you feel more
energized? Less anxious? More productive? This is your proof that loving
the journey makes the destination feel less daunting and more joyful.
Remember, the goal is not a destination. The goal is the
person you become on the way there. The moments of frustration, the small
victories, the quiet hours of work—that's where your true legacy is built. When
you fall in love with the process, you create a life that feels joyful every single
day, and that is a truer measure of success than any outcome.
We want to hear your story. Share one part of your
goal's journey that you genuinely love, and how you’re going to do more of it
this week! Let’s celebrate the process together!
Your next step awaits, let’s elevate!
